On Thursday, 3rd October 2025, partner organizations from across Europe met online for the coordination meeting of the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange “Make It Greener – Raising Awareness Among Young People Towards More Responsible and Eco-Friendly Consumption”. The meeting, hosted by MAD for Europe, an organisation from Spain, brought together group leaders from Italy, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Latvia, Sweden and the Netherlands to align details and next steps before the youth exchange takes place in Madrid from 9th to 14th November 2025.
During the meeting, MAD for Europe shared updated details about the venue, accommodation and day-to-day program of the exchange. Participants will stay at Scout Madrid Hostel where meals and logistics will be coordinated for all international teams.
A highlight of the discussion was the organization of the intercultural dinners, where each country pair will present their traditional cuisine and cultural activities:
Partners were reminded to bring their national flags, prepare simple traditional dishes and organize short cultural moments such as music, quizzes or dances.
Other important clarifications included travel logistics, reimbursement procedures, and the use of a shared WhatsApp Community to support communication among all participants during the exchange.
Each partner organization will play a specific role in the implementation of the project:
MAD for Europe emphasized the importance of preparing these tasks in advance and sharing any updates by email within the following week.
The meeting concluded with a Q&A session, clarifying travel details, budgets and practical arrangements. With preparations well underway, partners are looking forward to welcoming participants to Madrid for an inspiring week of environmental learning, teamwork, and intercultural exchange.
“Make It Greener” will gather 48 young people and 8 group leaders from across Europe to explore sustainability, responsible consumption and eco-conscious living.
Stay tuned for updates as we approach the exchange in November!
