Stichting yEUth is pleased to announce its participation in the Erasmus+ Training Course “Resilience & Growth in Youth Work,” hosted by BLOOM Associação Sócio Cultural in Portugal. This training aimed to support youth workers in preventing burnout, managing stress, and developing emotional resilience, ensuring they can continue their impactful work effectively.
A Deep Dive into Emotional Resilience
The first training focused on emotional well-being, self-awareness, and stress management. Through a combination of mindfulness, embodiment practices, and self-compassion techniques, participants explored how to:
– Identify their personal stress triggers.
– Develop strategies to manage overwhelm and emotional exhaustion.
-Restore energy and release tension.
-Address perfectionism and self-criticism for a healthier mindset.
The interactive workshops provided practical learning-by-doing experiences, creating a safe space for reflection and personal growth. Participants were encouraged to engage deeply with their emotions and share their experiences, fostering a supportive international network.
Participant Experience
One of our Dutch participants shared:
“This training was transformative. I now understand my stress patterns and have practical tools to manage them. The mindfulness and embodiment techniques we learned were truly eye-opening, and I feel much more confident in taking care of my well-being.”
This training was a crucial step toward fostering resilience in youth work, ensuring that professionals in the field can sustain their efforts while maintaining their mental and emotional health.
A huge thank you to our Portuguese partners for organizing such a meaningful and impactful experience!
