Keys2Leiden Wraps Up the Month with an Evaluation and Strategy Session
As the first month of activity comes to a close, the team behind Keys2Leiden gathered for an evaluation meeting to review their progress and prepare the next phase of their European Solidarity Corps project. Supported by the coach, the group is setting up the foundations for a dual-layered city map and interactive workshop series aimed at bringing together students, migrants, and local residents across Leiden.
The meeting provided an open space to reflect on the early setup phase and verify that all project operations remain aligned with European standards. The team reviewed notes from their recent check-in with the National Agency alongside discussions with the local group, confirming that administrative requirements, reporting frameworks, and timeline milestones are in good order.
Financial planning was a central topic on the table. The young group members reviewed the project budget, with special attention given to managing funds for travel reimbursements and accessibility support so that young people with fewer opportunities can easily attend activities without financial barriers.
Looking ahead to upcoming events, the team explored core themes for the five community workshops that will take place across mapped locations in the city. These sessions will focus on key topics such as local activism, cultural exchange, and environmental action, offering hands-on spaces for young people to connect directly with community hubs and social enterprises.
To support these upcoming activities, the group reaffirmed their shared responsibilities for communications and social media. The team agreed on coordinated ways to share project updates, highlight local partners, and welcome the wider community into the initiative as field research and mapping get underway. With clear plans and strong alignment across the board, Keys2Leiden is ready to step into its next month of community building.
