Strengthening Leaders to Support Youth Work:

Connecting UK and European Organisations for Future Cooperation

On 30 June 2026, Stichting yEUth participated in the online networking event “Strengthening Leaders to Support Youth Work and Adult Education: Connecting UK and European Organisations for Future Cooperation.” The event brought together organisations from the United Kingdom and several European countries to exchange experiences, explore Erasmus+ opportunities and lay the foundations for future international cooperation.

The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between organisations working in youth work and adult education. Participants had the opportunity to learn more about the Erasmus+ Programme, its funding opportunities and the different types of projects that support mobility, cooperation and capacity building across Europe.

A central part of the event was the presentation of the Strengthening Leaders to Support Youth Work project. Partners shared the work carried out throughout the project, including the development of free learning resources for youth leaders in areas such as leadership, organisational sustainability, communication, programme design and team management. The project aims to equip youth organisations with practical tools that help improve the quality and impact of youth work.

Beyond the presentations, the event encouraged participants to actively network through interactive activities. Organisations shared successful practices from their own communities, discussed common challenges and explored ideas for future Erasmus+ partnerships. These discussions created valuable opportunities to identify common interests and begin building new international collaborations.

Events like this demonstrate the importance of creating spaces where organisations can learn from one another and develop long-term partnerships. By connecting organisations across Europe and the United Kingdom, the initiative contributes to stronger youth work, more opportunities for young people and a more connected European youth sector.

Stichting yEUth is pleased to have taken part in this initiative and looks forward to continuing to work with partners across Europe in developing projects that promote inclusion, learning and active participation for young people.
