PROACT! - Successful Implementation of the Last Three Local Labs

Stichting YEUTH is proud to announce the successful completion of three local labs conducted in leiden following the 3rd online mobility of the PROACT project, which focused on digital activism.

The first local lab, held on November 19th, 2024, introduced participants to the concept of digital activism and its role in shaping social and political discourse. Through case studies and group discussions, participants explored key societal issues they felt passionate about and began identifying causes they would like to address through digital campaigns. The session highlighted the power of storytelling and social media in sparking awareness and change.

The second local lab, conducted on December 27th, 2024, was dedicated to hands-on learning and campaign design. Participants attended a practical workshop where they explored tools and strategies for building effective digital campaigns around themes such as phone addiction, sustainable fashion, and mental health. In teams, they developed detailed campaign plans, presented their ideas to the group, and received valuable feedback. The session closed with an open discussion, encouraging participants to reflect on their learning experience and share their challenges and insights.

The third local lab, held on January 4th, 2025, focused on reflection and future thinking. Participants looked ahead, discussing the future of digital activism over the next five years, the evolving role of youth in activism, and the tools that will shape this work. They engaged in reflective exercises and shared best practices while evaluating the relevance of the workshop to their ongoing digital efforts.

These three labs offered participants a rich blend of theoretical grounding, practical skills, and forward-thinking dialogue—empowering them to navigate the digital world with purpose and confidence.
