Stichting yEUth is proud to announce its involvement in the Erasmus+ project O.L.M.E. – One Life, Many Ends – which officially launched with a virtual kick-off meeting on November 14, 2024. Hosted by Almathi via Google Meet, the meeting brought together partners from across Europe to begin an important dialogue around how young people understand, process, and express the concept of endings in their lives.
The O.L.M.E. project explores the theme of “endings” in all their forms—transitions, closures, loss, change—and how these experiences shape young people’s identities, emotional worlds, and creative expression. Through a combination of research, artistic engagement, and educational resources, the project seeks to create safe, inclusive spaces where adolescents aged 13 to 19 can reflect on and share their experiences of endings. Whether it’s the end of school, friendships, childhood, or other personal milestones, the project encourages young voices to be heard and validated.
At the kick-off meeting, partners introduced their organizations and shared their motivation for joining this meaningful initiative. Almathi presented the project’s objectives and timeline, highlighting its multidisciplinary approach that includes field and desk research, interviews with youth and educators, and the development of a multilingual compendium of insights and practices.
One of the highlights of the session was the unveiling of the proposed project logos. After a short discussion, partners unanimously selected the third design, which will shape the project’s visual identity moving forward. The meeting also covered communication strategies and outlined upcoming responsibilities, including the creation of the project’s digital platforms and the preparation of research guidelines and templates.
Stichting yEUth contributed actively to the meeting and will help lead the qualitative and quantitative evaluation of project outputs. As an organization committed to supporting youth agency and emotional literacy, we are especially excited about the focus on endings—a topic often overlooked yet profoundly important in young people’s development.
We’re thrilled to embark on this journey with our partners and look forward to the deep insights, stories, and creative work that will emerge from One Life, Many Ends.
