STICHTING YEUTH CELEBRATES THE SUCCESS OF THE 1ST LOCAL WORKSHOP IN LEIDEN on the 29TH of FEBRUARY 2024 AS PART OF THE “DEFENDING THE RIGHT TO HUMANITY FOR ALL” PROJECT. THIS IMPACTFUL EVENT FOCUSED ON ENRICHING KNOWLEDGE ABOUT MIGRATION, INTEGRATION, GENDER EQUALITY, QUALITY EDUCATION, AND WORKPLACE INEQUALITIES.
DURING THIS WORKSHOP, PARTICIPANTS TOOK PART IN VARIOUS SESSIONS, INCLUDING DYNAMIC DISCUSSIONS ON FREE SPEECH AND THE IMPORTANCE OF NEW IDEAS, PARTICULARLY FOR DISADVANTAGED GROUPS. THESE SESSIONS EMPHASIZED THE SIGNIFICANCE OF EMPOWERING ALL VOICES.
ANOTHER CENTRAL THEME WAS AWAKENING YOUNG PEOPLE’S INTEREST IN THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (SDGS), HIGHLIGHTING THE ROLE THAT YOUTH PLAY IN SHAPING A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE. INTERACTIVE ACTIVITIES LET THE PARTICIPANTS ADVOCATE FOR HUMAN RIGHTS AND SOCIAL JUSTICE IN THEIR COMMUNITIES.
PARTICIPANTS ALSO HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN FROM EACH OTHER AND COLLABORATE ON TASKS FOCUSED ON PRACTICAL SOLUTIONS TO LOCAL ISSUES, PROMOTING SUSTAINABLE POLITICS AND POLICIES THAT SUPPORT INCLUSION AND EQUALITY.
THE WORKSHOP PROVIDED THE PARTICIPANTS WITH VALUABLE INSIGHTS AND TOOLS FOR PROMOTING INCLUSION AND ADVOCATING FOR MINORITY RIGHTS, WHILE ALSO BUILDING A SUPPORTIVE COMMUNITY OF YOUNG CHANGE-MAKERS.
